Formatting secondary axis bar chart overlap trick.

    Hello,

I have a bar chart that has two Y-axis and used the trick I found in this forum to create dummy values so the bars don't overlap. Works Great.

However, I have chosen a specific type of chart layout that I would like to use but would like for the dummy values not to show.

I know I can use a legend and delete the text from the legend but wondering if getting rid of the dummy values at the bottom of the chart is possible.

I've attached an excel doc for reference, currently using Excel 2010.

Thank you for all your help.

You can excluded specific series from the data table.

Use worksheet cells to build your own data table. Or use a different chart type for the data on the secondary axis. Or simply report the % amount via data label

    Thanks for the reply Andy,

Would you be able to explain more about using worksheet cells to build a data table or a different chart type for the secondary axis? Not quite sure how that's done.

    Much appreciated.

I'm talking about this type of thing. Simple but the table values in cells below chart.

Consider using a line chart for the percentages. select the series and change chart type to line.
