    index/match problem

    Hi All,

I have used an Index and Match formula to look up some data. It works fine on the first row but when I copy it down I get a #REF! return. I have attached a sample workbook. If anyone can figure out what I'm missing I would be very greatful.

    Thanks.

I have another version - You just need to interchange the 2 match functions. So your formula should be -

    Re: index/match problem

Thanks very much. I agree the layout isn't the best but it's because I will be using pivot tables so I'm limited as to what I can do to the layout. That said, Marcol, you r formula does the trick. Thanks very much.

Arlu1201, I haven't tried yours yet but will do this afternoon out of interest.

Thanks to you both for your answers.
