Linking Certain Data Between Two Tables.

Hello-

I'd like to populate specific sets of data for each group (>100 groups in real data) from master table to a simplified table.
I have created the forrmula to link to specific cells to show what I like to accomplish. Reference workbook is attached.

I like to be able to drag down the three cells for the rest of the groups. How can I achieve that?

Thanks in advance for all replies.

in S5
=INDEX($C$5:$N$36,MATCH($R5,$B$5:$B$36,0),MATCH(S$4,$C$4:$N$4,0))

copy across and down to AD16

Update: Hang on this will only work for the first group

Thinking...

Ensure you describe your problem clearly, I have little time available to solve these problems and do not appreciate numerous changes to them.

So this is too difficult or not possible? No guru wants to take on this challenge? Thanks.

The attached file gives you what you need. I added a helper column at O, hid this ifyou want.

Also, I did some manual manipulation to the formulae in the Jan column of the summary - there were just too many variables to consider for absoluting, seeing as how you merged the group headings.

Also I added helper data in each month column, at the bottom of both tables, you can hide this too if you want
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
3. Click on the star if you think someone helped you

Thanks FDibbins for giving this a try. Looks like you misunderstood what I need help with.

My provided file shows every group has 8 sets of data or rows (Test 1 to Test 8). I only want to data for Test 1, Test 3 and Test 8 copied to a final table on the right.
I have manually copied this set of data for Group 1 as a reference. My real data table has more than 100 groups and growing so I like to know a way I can highlight the formuas/cells in Test 1, 3 and 8 from right hand table then drap them all the way down.

Please let me know if this is still not clear. thanks.

The only way I can figure out how do what (I think) you need, is to un-merge the "group" in ypur column Q. That way, you can use absoluting so that you can opy/paste the formulae like you want to do.

Just remember to setup your data range so that it changes as you add more data. Hope this is what you were after?

Thank you very much FDibbins for your time and efforts in helping me out on this challenge. This will work fine for me with a bit of cleaning up on my table and formatting.

I gave you the star. Have a nice day.
