your sheet does not contain any data.
What do you want to achieve? Could you give an example on the sheet? What have you already tried?
I'm assuming he wants the position field (in column) G to be the variable from sheet to sheet
So the sheet Position1 would grab any of the rows from the master sheet for a particular position, Position2 would grab the rows for a different value for the same field etc
Sadly I cannot provide an answer as I do not know enough yet

Dave, What i am trying to do is in the candidates sheet I have information on all new hires over 100 of them , they will be assigned to different positions with the company.So what I am trying to do is as I enter the information of the candidates when the position field is entered I want excel to distribute it to the appropriate position sheet. It looks like an "if" formula should work if cell n1 is position 1 then post a1:n1 to sheet 2(position 1) but I am not well versed on excel to accomplish it. thanks again for the help in advance.

Dave, The determining factor is in the main candidates work sheet column "N" ( Position) will determine which position the individual candidate is assigned to and automatically posted to appropriate position.....position1...position2...etc. Thank you
Try this,
I moved the position cells to the end of the table so the code is not activated to soon. Once you select a position in column P using the dropdown menu that row will be transferred to the correct Sheet.
Right click on Candidates sheet tab to view the code.
The code is in the worksheet module and is activated when you make a change in column P

HI Dave,
I was looking for the solution to the problem posted; i have a similar request.
Wherein, i have list of employees who work in different departments; if i run a similar prog will that help moving the corresponding rows to next sheets as you have done it for the positions? if so, how do i alter the code you have written on top?
I have share teh attachment which has the same list of employees adn their dept's.
the request is to create separate sheets for each DU and move the employees to respective sheets.
