    Same formula in the entire column

    Hello,

    I was just wondering if there is a way of copying the same formula for the entire column.

    For example if I have Row 1 as my column titles in text. The data would start in Row 2.
    What I was wondering is if there is an easier way of copying the same formula that is in D2 all the way down to say like D5000 without the "click & drag" the corner way???
    A= start odometer
    B= end odometer
    C= gallons
    D= MPG

    A B C D
    1 Start Odometer End Odometer Gallons MPG
    2 1000 11000 5 2000

    Thanks,
    Scott

    You can put a character in D5000, Ctrl+Shift+Up, Ctrl+D.
    Once the column has formulas in it, you can just change D2, then Ctrl+Shift+Down, Ctrl+D or highlight D2, hold Shift, double-click on the lower right hand corner of D2.

    yes- just select that cell (w/ the formula) and then hold the "CTRL" key and then double click on the bottom right corner of the cell (same corner you drag). Very cool!
