Creating a report to show Vehicle Tax Due.

    Dear All,

I work in a small haulage company, with a fleet of around 50 Commercial Vehicles, my job there is to Tax and Service and MOT the vehicles when necessary.

I have started to create a spreadsheet file in Excel which has a worksheet for each vehicle registration we have in our fleet. Inside the worksheet is a history of the taxing of the vehicle, this includes the date it was taxed, how long for and for how much, it also has a date of when the tax expires.

I want to create a report on the spreadsheet where i can simply select a month in that year and it will show up all the vehicles which will require taxing before that month is over.

    for Example :-

This April we have 5 vehicles which will need to be taxed prior to the end of April.

I want this report to show these 5 Vehicles via vehicle registration number.

This would indeed save me alot of time and effort as i wouldnt have to go through all the necessary paperwork to find these relevant dates.

    Here is the example :-

Any help would help would be much appreciated!

    many thanks!

Post a WORKBOOK. Nobody wants to type data from a picture or paste text from your post into a spreadsheet as a prelude to helping. To attach a file, push the button with the paperclip (or scroll down to the Manage Attachments button), browse to the required file, and then push the Upload button.

The posted workbook is not the same as the picture.

I can only suggest a manual copy and paste special (transpose) to get the main vehicle details. I've made a start and included a column to indicate the month of renewal which you can filter as and when required. A long task at first but it will do as you requested and no doubt save a lot of time in the future. Check my details are right.

Incidentally, that VW Golf needs taxing. Last done in 2008!

If you are looking for VB to do it then I suggest you repost with a title such as :VBA to extract and transpose data from 50 worksheets to summary.
