A form for the lab, we want a drop down list with common entries but also want people to be able to enter an "other" value. I have the drop down list working fine, but I cant see how to let people enter an "other value". Right now I just have "Other" as an option and then another column where they can fill in the other value, but this is ugly and people dont like it.

It seems to be working for the first drop down list but I have no idea how I got that, and can't seem to reproduce it.
if you include in your range for the data validation a blank cell, you will be allowed to enter any value you want.
