    Question Maxa/if formula needed

I attached file. I put example into file/directions for what I need.

Basically, there is a control at A1. I need to create a function that Locks that in and looks for that value in A6-A104. Once all those are found (inside the same equation) I need to find of all the relevant data what is the MAX value in column B. So if out of the 100 data points only 5 match my A1 criteria, out of those 5, what is the highest market value.

Ive tried Max/MAXA/If functions. An i keep getting #value. Im struggling to get this to work.

    Please help/provide incite for me.

    Thanks in advance.

    Re: Maxa/if formula needed

    Hi

    Try this.

    =MAX(IF(A8:A104=A1;B8:B104))

    Control+Shift+Enter, NOT just Enter

    Hope to helps you.
