How to get the date work properly!!

    Hello All,
I use Excels invoice templates for my invoices, the problem that I am facing is that every time I open to write a new invoice the invoice number stays the same from the old invoice!! And I need to manually change the number to a new number so there isn't two invoices with a same invoice number, what do I need to do to have the numbers change automatically when opening for new invoice.
Thank you all for your help
    Jon

can you attache an example of how you are curently doing this? the new invoice would basicaly need to reference a list of previously issued invoices to get a unique number, or you could incorperate the date and time into the invoice number. if you only issue one invoice per day, it would be easy to just use the date.

You are using a basic invoice, that's all they are basic. This is slightly more advanced, but for a real invoicing program you will need to pay.
