Merging rows with same values in first columns but different values in later columns

I have a database that records jobs that volunteers are willing to do for an event. My problem is when the data was pulled from the database into a csv file one row was created for each job a volunteer was willing to do. Therefore people who have volunteered for several jobs have several row entries (with the same name) with a separate volunteer job "Xed" in the later columns for each entry.

I would like to merge the rows so that I have a single row for each individual with all their volunteer jobs "Xed" on the single row.

I've attached a truncated mock-up version of my excel work book. On Sheet 1 there is the data as it currently exists. On sheet 2 there is an example of what I would like the sheet 1 data to look like.

    database mock-up for forum.xlsx

Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

    Hi

I'd run a macro over it.
