I have just been to one of my clients to do some PC work and she mentioned a strange problem. When she goes to open a spreadsheet she firstly opens excel 2010 then goes to file open and points to a folder with all of her spreadsheets in. When this folder opens, the icon is not a folder icon but just two white squares overlapping each other and the name is "unspecified" If you double click on it then you can see a lot of spreadsheets. Backing out and then doing the same thing again actually brings up the correct folder with all the subfolders.

It seems when drilling down to a specific spreadsheet using the open function in excel always does this the first time and is ok the second time.

If you go to my docs and drill to the spreadsheet required and double click on it then there is no problem. This has only just started to happen. Office 2010 is fully up to date re fixpacks and individual updates.
