    Sales Commission Formula

Hey guys. I hope this is the right section. I work in sales and I have a breakdown of my commission plan. If I sell so many I am considered in a 10,20,30,....100,110,120, etc. percent to goal. The amount paid for each item goes up for different percentage to goal that I get. What I would like to do is create a formula that if I plug in I have so many sells of whatever products then it will tell me my estimated commission. Also if possible the opposite. Let's say I need to make $3000 on my next check how many services I would have to sell.

I hope I explained this well enough but please leg me know if I forgot something.

    Thanks,
    Dustin

Re: Advanced (IMO) excel formula help

Do you get a certain percentage per item as commission? if not, it become much more complicated, say you make 50 cents off a pair of socks and $10 off a pair of shoes. If it's percentage based, it won't be to hard.
    Happy Excel'ing!

    Re: Sales Commission Formula

Well let's say I sell 17 services then I would be at 50 percent and for nor of our basic services the payout is $22.75. 21 services would be 60 percent and that same product would payout $27.30. 24 services would be 70 percent and the payout for the same service would be $31.85. There also small add ons that pay a certain amount. So depending on the percentage I am out there is a specific dollar amount I get paid.

    Re: Sales Commission Formula

Can you mock up a dummy file and put in some stages of the percentages according to the number of services? If it's just something to draw information from a table, it won't be too bad, if it's just getting a percentage of a commission depending on the number of sales, that won't be hard either. But if you could put something to together with mock sales targets/percentages and then just mock up your results, I'm sure I can get it working for you.
