Converting start date/start time end date/end time into time in minutes?

    Hi everyone,

I have a load of data on the barclays bicycle hire scheme, it gives me a starting date and time, and an ending date and time, I need to find a way of creating a new column displaying the time in minutes based on the information.

    Here in a screenshot:

As you can see I have attempted it myself but my formula wont work if the bike ride is over 2 days as opposed to the same day. I used =(F2+G2)-(D2+E2) so I added end date and time together and then subtracted start date and time from it, it works fine for rides on the same day but not if it's over a day long.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

That formula should work OK, just make sure you custom format column L as [h]:mm

The square brackets will ensure that durations over 23:59 are shown correctly

    I have that format [h]:mm but it's showing a 23 hour ride as 47 hours ;[.
