Subtotal within pivot table

Using Windows 7 and Office 2010 I have tried to upload the workbook example for this thread, it won't work, is 21.9 MB too large a file to upload here?
I would like to subtotal with each plant # change in a pivot a maximum odometer column and a minimum odometer column to show total miles driven by each truck at each plant for each month in a year.
I can show the max/min calculation outside the pivot table, but cannot reference the change in plant number from within the pivot table to subtotal by plant #.
I have tried to insert calculated fields but cannot understand the only example I could find.
Can anyone help with the explanation above without an example workbook?

Can you not post an example so we know the structure? Just post 5 example components for instance.

I have an example ready to go at 440 KB, well within the upload limit.
No joy, can't find anything evident on how to troubleshoot the upload failure.

Sometimes I have to click the attachment button twice. What browser are you using?

No joy, all I see is the working in background spin for a couple of seconds and nothing is uploaded.
How do I get rid of all the attachments I do not want anymore?
