Yes. type "1" in A1, type "2" in A2.
Select them both, drag the fill handle down to A200. It will automatically fill the series (i.e. 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9.....)
Hi Cj,
You can type the number 1 into A1, then 2 into A2. Hover your mouse over the lower right corner of A2 until it becomes a + sign. Click and hold that spot, then drag your mouse downward until you get to row 200. Let go of the mouse button and you'll have automatically filled in a series from 1 to 200. You could also type 1 into A1, then click Fill > Series on the Home tab. (Series in: Columns, Type: Linear, Step Value: 1, Stop Value: 200)
There are a couple ways to do this.
Method 1:
In cell A1 put 1.
In cell A2 put =A1+1
Select cell A2, grab the handle in the lower right corner and drag it down to row 200.
Method 2:
In cell A1 put 1, A2 put 2 and A3 put 3.
Select cells A1:A3, grab the handle in the lower right corner and drag it down to row 200.
this site is awesome, thanks everyone that worked perfectly
