    cluster analysis

I have created a workbook with the names of projects across the top, requirements along the left column, and x's throughout indicating which requirements falls under a particular project. I need to do more analysis utilizing this workbook, but am not sure how. Ultimately, I need to do a cluster analysis of requirements such that those most like each other, or dependent on each other, fall into specific categories.......I also need to group the requirements on the left in such a way that shows that those with the most x's appear first....does anyone know how to do these things, or anything like them???

I think it would be better to turn your table so that Project names are in the A column and requirements are along the top row.

To count the x's, use a helper column on the end that contain formula like =SUMIF(A2:Z2,"x").

For project dependencies, you need an indicator of this. Perhaps another column "dependencies" that contains the name of the other project.
