    convert vertical to horizontal (without Transpose)

    Hey there,

    I suppose im looking for an Indirect function for this, but cant figure it out. I want to be able to pull a function sideways and get vertical cell values from an area. Say I type in the function in B1, referencing it to A1, and pull to D1. Then I would have A1 value in B1, A2 in C1 and A3 in D1. Anyone who can supply me with a formula?

    Thanks a lot in advance!

    Can you attach a sample of what you are proposing?

    One way

    =INDEX($A$1:$A$50,COLUMN(A1))
    Does that work for you?

    Another way
    =INDIRECT("A"&COLUMN(A1))

    I'd use the first.

    Re: convert vertical to horizontal (without Transpose)

    IF you plan on dragging the formula out further than the values in A (or in C in your attachment), you can nest the formula in an IF statement like so

    =IF(COUNT($A:$A)>=COLUMN(A1), INDEX($A$1:$A$50,COLUMN(A1)), "")

    Edit, had my arguments backwards
