Problem with format for VLookUp

    Problem with format for VLookUp

    For some rerason i have copied a column across and the Vlookup does not want to work on the cells. If i double click on the cell and press enter, the vlookup then works!!!??
    Not sure why....but i have formatted all cells multiple times thinking this may be the issue.....any help appreciated.

    it could be that yoru cells are formated as "Text" try changing the format (including the first cell) to general, then copy again.

    I have tried to format to General, but it does not work. As i said i have to double click into the cell and press enter for it to be recognised. Driving me mad!

    did you format to general before putting the formula in there? also you will need to change the format of the cell you are copying from.

    If that does not work could you attach the workbook.

    I have attached a workbook that shows the issue i am having. If i go the highlighted cell and double-click into the cell and then enter, the formula will work.
    Not sure why this is so??

    it is hapening because the cells are formated as text, you just need to highlight the whole row, and select the formating option "General"
