maintaining formatting during copy-paste in Excel 2007

Previously when copying an entire sheet from one file to another, the formatting of the first sheet was maintained in the second. Now, this is not the case. Further evidence of this problem is that my Paintbrush Tool is not working. Can anyone tell me how to restore this functionality?

If you have a legitimate copy of Excel(or Office) then you can do a "repair" operation. It is accessed as if you were going the uninstall it.
