Disconnect a pivot table from a slicer

I have multiple pivot tables and have created a slicer and shared it across those tables. When I use the checkboxed to exclude a pivot table from a slicer update, I might want the excluded pivot table to refresh so that it's not being used by the slicer. However, I haven't been able to get that one pivot table to clear the slicer filter. I hope this makes sense. Any thoughts? Thank you.

you've gotta clear the filter set by the slicer yourself.it doesn't happen automatically

what do you mean by the filter set? i want the filter to be active for the other pivot tbles, so i don't want to clear the choices. i just don't want to include one of the piv tables that i orginally includedl

I mean you have to go to the pivot table that you just disconnected and remove the filter that was set by the slicer

Thank you. I've been searching for days and haven't read anything at all about doing that. I would have expected that clearning the checkbox would have resolved that.
