Delete sheet and Unhide greyed out

    Hello friends,

I have been having this issue for a while now. I cannot right click on a sheet and delete or unhide it. I read through the forum and checked that the worksheet is not protected and sharing is turned off.
I would also like to add that this issue happens when I open a new excel file as well.
I tried to run excel in safe mode and it gave me the option to delete but unhide was still greyed out.
If I get the option of delete in safe mode, is it some macro running in the background?
I have attached some screenshots for your review .excel help.docx

I need to use these options regularly.

    Please help

    Thank you

Re: Delete sheet and Unhide greyed out

Can you upload a copy of one of the workbooks in which you're experiencing this?

As for 'Unhide...' not being available, are you sure there are hidden sheets within the workbook? (If they were hidden using 'xlSheetVeryHidden' in VBA, then you won't be able to unhide them using the context menu of the worksheet tab.)

Just for giggles, you could run this macro in the VB Editor window:
Please Login or Register to view this content.
The Ply commandbar object is the context menu (right-click menu) for worksheet tabs. This will reset it to default. (Again, if there are no hidden sheets the 'Unhide..' option will still be grey.)
