    How to disable security warning in Excel 2003

    Is it possible to disable this warning message in Excel 2003? I have made a VBA code which scan thousands og files to check if they contain links. This is a problem since the user has to click "enable macro" each time a file with macro is opened.

    Good afternoon mkvassh

    I don't have access to Excel 2003 on this machine, but from memory, it's something like Tools > Macros > Macro Security, there is a setting for low security which runs all macros without asking if should.

    Microsoft don't like you using that, so if they ask, you don't say we told you here ...

    It's a really bad idea to set your security level to low, and may well cause you problems well beyond the user having to click a few times.

    If macros don't need to be enabled to check for links then just use:
