    Unhappy “Object library invalid” error

I have an excel file that we have used here at work for quite some time. All of a sudden it stopped working giving me an error. I thought i broke the VB in it.

After Google searching the issue, I found this link here:
    http://www.lessanvaezi.com/delete-ex...invalid-error/

I made a small BAT file that i have the users run. The first line is supposed to fix XP machines, the second fixes Windows 7 machines. Here it is:

The above BAT file fixes XP machines but it does not work on the Window7 64bit machines.

    Does anyone have a suggestion?

Is it deleting the .exd files? there is more than one location for those files -they can also be stored in an Excel directory.

Have you tried searching for exd files?

I went through Windows7, backed up and deleted all the .exd files, launched excel and i still get the error. This is frustrating.

The deleted files did come back after restarting Excel.

The KB article points out that they get recreated by Excel. I think the point is to delete the ones that are incorrect versions, to force them to be recreated.

I don't have any suggestions, sorry.

I found the error. Its a progress bar that runs across a userform as the code runs. For some reason, Windows7 says it is not there but when i open it on a XP machine it see's it fine. I took it out for now and its working again.
