Security Permissions - Allowing users to Edit Ranges

    Hi,

I have a a problem in that the functionality of this doesn't seem to be working.

I have a 2 sheets which are both protected.

The first sheet feeds into the second and I want some individuals to be able to enter data onto the first sheet, but then other people who only fill in the second sheet not to be able to tamper with the first.

Example is someone enters a rate of pay in on the first and then an employee fills in the second sheet with time data and it uses the rate of pay entered on the first sheet.

I have protected the second sheet and allowed people to edit the unlocked cells.

On the first sheet I want to protect it all and allow people only to edit certain cells with a password.

I have set the ranges for users to edit, however when I do this it only seems to allow the editing of the first cell in the range and not the others.

Any help on this would be very welcome!!

    Unprotect the sheet
Highlight ALL the cells to be editable
Press CTRL-1 and select the Protection tab.
    Uncheck the LOCKED option.
    Protect the sheet.
