#Value Error - A vaalue used in the formula is of the wrong data type

    confused:

In the attached spreadsheet the formula in cell I12 is returning #Value!. I evaluated the formula. Cell G12 evaluates as " 13". The quotes don't make sense to me. See picture for the evaluation. wrong data type error.JPG:

    G12 format is General number.
I changed it to Number 0 decimal places, but the error remained.
I cleared the format, but the error remaianed.

I retyped the formula, but the error remained.

I copied the formula from a row in another row of the spreadsheet that "worked", but the error remained.

I am stumped. What might resolve this?

In BO12 the value is " 13"; there a lot of spaces before the number, causing it not to be recognised as a number. So you are trying to divide a text-string by a number, which makes no sense.

your values in columns BO are text values with spaces instead of numbers, you need to fix those numbers and you will be good

I'll take a look at your suggestions tomorrow because I'm off to my second job - looking for a permanent job.

That worked. The problem was in the data entry cell and I was looking in cells that copied the data entry cells. Learning!

    Thank you.
