Okay this is kind of complicated (for me anyway) so bear with me. I have a football league table showing the number of goals conceded and scored for both home and away games, I have then created formulas to give me the average goals per game for home and away games. I have then created a table, on the left column (for example, column A2:A20) shows home teams, and the top row (for example row B2:T2) shows away teams, the data shows an average of the [average goals scored and conceded for the home teams] and the [average goals score and conceded for the away teams]. I want to be able to type in upcoming fixtures, for example, home team in V2 and away team in W2, then, if V2 is equal to any of the teams in A2:A20 AND W2 is equal to any of the teams in B2:T2 then I want for cell X2 to display the corresponding cell to these two teams from the table. I realize this seems somewhat complicated and long winded. Any help would be very much appreciated, I tried to explain my dilemma clearly, but if anything is difficult to understand or unclear, don't hesitate to let me know and I'll try to rephrase. Thank you
Thank you Haseeb, I've created a new thread with a sample file (I didn't realize I could attach files), please refer to http://www.excelforum.com/excel-gene...73#post2768173 Thank you so much for your help.
