    Excel on an iPad

    Hi guys and girls.

I've just created a price list for my company on a laptop using Excel 2003. I've just tried using it on my iPad and a lot of the formulae are returning #VALUE! errors where they work on the laptop. Is there a certain formatting that it must be saved as??

They are just multiple IF formulations, nothing complex at all. I'll admit its probably not the most glamorous formula you'll have seen but it works to the best of my abilities.

    Combined Order Form.xlsx

The problem comes in column E, where there is a formula in C on the same row.

    Cheers

Which App are you using. Generally DocsToGo is a good app; however, there are still some formulas not available in the mobile excel versions.

More than likely, regardless of the apps you're using, the formulas there in (or the cells the formulas refer to) contain unsopported content. Try with another app.

    Hi Ron2k_1

I'm using DocsToGo at the moment. The formulas are just variations of =IF so I'm unsure what would be unsupported by it.

I'll have a play around, thanks in advance!

    Righty then.

This works, but won't return the 0.1 as a percentage even if I set the formatting on the cell to percentage.

    =IF($H$3="GL",0.1,(IF($H$3="M",0.05,(IF($H$3="D",0.1951,F$17)))))

This is the formula which doesnt work on the iPad, but does work on the Laptop.

    IF($H$3="GL","10%",(IF($H$3="M","5%",(IF($H$3="D","19.51%",F$17)))))

So, now my question would be, how can I force the first formula to return a percentage?

Have you tried removing some of those brackets and removing the characters that force the percentages as Text?
