    Subtracting Dates

    Hey guys,

    I've a spreadsheet here in Excel 2010 which I'm populating with a table outputted from another program. One of the columns in it will be a list of dates (in american format though!). What I need is a function which looks at this date and returns the difference between this and the current date in days (rounded to whole number is fine)
    Is it the DATE360 function I need for this?
    Cheers!
    Manolis

    Hi Manolis( Are you Greek?)

    You can use simple this(With your date in A1)

    =A1-TODAY()

    Format, as General.

    Fotis.

    Re: Subtracting Dates

    maybe use: =today()-A1
    A1 your date
    or
    =ROUND(today()-A1,0)

    Re: Subtracting Dates

    Hi Fotis!

    I'm half Greek! Born in Kavala and lived on Thassos for my first couple of years but have been in Ireland since. I'll be going over again in September hopefully!
    I like your comments about the politicians!

    Unfortunatly all the functions suggested are returning a #VALUE error.
    Is this Excel not recognising my date from the pasted-in table as the functions seem to make sense?

    Μανώλη(Manolis), Must be some format problem in your data.

    All suggested formulae must work for you!

    Upload a small sample workbook to take a look there.

    *So, we'll wait you back to Greece in September..

    Re: Subtracting Dates

    Practice Sheet.xlsx

    Here you go.
    It's definately the format issue as a few of them do work. But these are being read as European date format
