what is an example of a value or values that you are expecting to see in Master!C55 (and thereon downwards, if that is your expectation)?
    - i.s.z -
CSE, aka Array aka { }, formulae are confirmed with CONTROL+SHIFT+ENTER.
Replace commas ( , ) with semicolons ( ; ) in formulae, if your locale setting demands.
All good ideas are courtesy resources from this forum as well as others around the web.

Due to the potential size of your Sheet "Master", I would be inclined to use helper columns to avoid array formulae, this will considerably reduce calculation time as the worksheet grows.

The helper Columns A:B can be hidden.
    In A55

    In B55

    Drag/Fill Both Down
    Then in D55

    Drag Across, then Down

What is supposed to happen in G55:I55?

Re: list all records by district

thx u so much for the awesome help on this guys...i really appreciate it!

in terms of what data goes in cell G:I....currently the data in cells D:F are "auto" deals ....in columns G:I it will be deals from column L (master sheet) that are marked "OTS"

i guess i would have to re-run the formulas in column A & B so they include "OTS" instead of "Auto"

thx u so much for your great help!

Re: list all records by district

    Okay, two things.

1/. You have Calculation set to Manual. Change this in Tools > Options ... Calculation Tab to Automatic.

2/. You need to Drag A55:B55 far enough Down to cover the all of the Data in Sheet "Master", and a bit more, say row 5000 in this instance.

Consider making lists of unique values for your Districts, X9, and X10, and then use these lists for drop-downs in C7, C54, and D7.

P.S. your issue with posting your file using the forum facilities, is its' size. 1mb is the max allowed, you should never need a sample workbook to be anything near that. Trim your examples but keep them representitive of your data.

    hey marcol

thxs for your feedback....i really appreciate it.

once i stretched down the formula in column A & B down to 6500 rows...the formula worked...that was pretty neat and made the calculations automatic...thxs for your wonderful help!
