hey guys, how can I use checkboxes & formulas for it to work like an Autofilter? For eg, if I uncheck something, it should act like an Autofilter that unchecks the same thing & the total count should then reduce. Attached a worksheet to illustrate.

In L4, paste in this formula and copy down
=IF(I4,G4,"")

hi jeffreybrown,
thks for the response. that'll only work for the checkbox that is unchecked. it does not affect other green highlighted cells. Like "Lawyer" should be 2 & "Sports" should be 4.
I reckon this oughta do it.

if at first you don't succeed try doing it the way your wife told you to
hi JosephP
that seems awesome. my actual data has 7-8 categories & more than 40 checkboxes, but your formula should be able to fit in nicely. Thanks alot!
Just as a note, this is worth looking at as an Alternative to checkboxes.
hey jeffreybrown,
appreciate the link. well, it does get very troublesome when there's alot of checkboxes to maintain. but it's somethin the bosses want. thanks anyway man.
