Hey All,
I unfortunately can't link my excel sheet at the moment, but will try to explain my issue - It's probably very basic, but I'm clueless.
I had a load of data exported on to Excel which held Customer information (Account name, number, addresses etc)
In Column B I have the Account Number, and then the Account Name directly below it - Then there's about 4-6 blank cells until the next Account Number. I can't delete these blanks as there's data in the columns next to it, so I would lose the alignment so to speak.
Is there a function to seperate the Account Number and Account Name data in Column B into 2 seperate columns on a new spreadsheet? Of course it could be copy and pasted but there's thousands off cells. I have tried HLOOKUP function, but that won't seem to work (I think due to the blanks?) If it helps I have already seperated the Account Number onto a new sheet but it has taken me a lifetime as I copied and pasted it.
Hope that makes some sort of sense, and would really appreciate any help to prevent me pulling more hair out.
