Ideas for a birthday calenda

Hello Guys,

i am after how to create a spread sheet keeping Birthdays in that will remind me 7 days befor. is there a sum i could use to recognise when the date is drawing near mayby even a countdown to the day?

Hi Ricky,

Let say your B-Day is in B1 and today's date is in A1

In conditional formatting
=A1>=B1-7

or if you don't have a cell with Today's date
=TODAY()>=B1-7

this is generating a result of true or false. sorry if im being thick

right i got what you mean now but it only returns a positive result if its seven days from the day the person was born eg:

10/05/1988 todays date
16/06/1988 date of birth
this works


10/05/2012 todays date
16/05/1988 date of birth
doesnt work and this is what i need to work lol


any ideas? thanks for you help
