    Inquiry about HLOOKUP formula meaning

    Please i want to know what do those formulas mean

    1) =IF($B$14="","",IF(HLOOKUP('Concession - Output'!$B$14,Scenarios!$B$7:$AC$60,3)="","",HLOOKUP('Concession - Output'!$B$14,Scenarios!$B$7:$AC$60,3)))


    2) =IF(B16="",0,INDEX('Offers Cost Impact'!$B$3:$F$54,MATCH(B16,'Offers Cost Impact'!$B$3:$B$54,0),MATCH('Concession - Output'!$B$10,'Offers Cost Impact'!$B$3:$F$3,0)))


    P.S: There are five sheets which are Concession - Output,Segmentation Criteria,Offers Cost Impact,Scenarios and reference

    Hi amgadadbelfattah,

    Welcome to the forum.

    These are the lookup formulas.. Hlookup is looking up B14 cell of Conecssion output sheet in scenarios sheet range B7:AC60 and taking out the results from row number 3.

    Index & Match -> B3 to F54 range of the sheet offers cost impact has been indexed where row match is where B16 is matching with offer cost impact's range B3: B54 and column match is where b10 of the concession output sheet is matching up with offer cost impact sheet's range B3:F3... and where both these rows and columns are matching - the intersection value is being picked up.
