Hi, both excel and word is OK.
I tried before and I am not sure if the steps are complete:
Download the add-in for excel or word, install it.
Choose the cell where you want to generate the barcode.
Put in the encoding data and then click “generate” button.
You just need to download one software which should be compatible with your excel or word.
Since you are going to manage the inventory item, Excel must be a better chioce. To convert data to barcodes in Office documents is not difficult and requires no barcode knowledge base if you have a barcode plug-in for MS Office.
Excel does not have barcode printer in it. You may add a barcode add-in generator for Excel.
Thanks for your sincere replies, I have installed a Excel Add-in in Excel. But I do not realize my inventory items are so huge. I want the excel to make barcodes automatically, since my barcode data are 00000~99999. Or I will input every data manually. Any ideas?
Is this what you're looking for?
Excel barcode generator add-in
From my experience, you are suppsed to convert less than 2,000 cells to barcodes at a time.
BTW, to scan a barcode correctly, there're some requirements. For example, you may take data checksum, data type, quiet zone and barcode size into consideration.
