Pivot table - Including manual formula

I've created a pivot table and I would like to use a formula which uses the 'total sum' and 'average ' figures, within the pivot table.


I've had a quick search on google and the only thing I can find is 'calculated figure', which I don't think will work as that will calculate the amounts on an line-by-line basis, when I'm only looking to calculate using the total figure.

Any advice would be very welcome

Thanks, but isn't that a formula to use outside the pivot table, as opposed to being part of it?

I thought you want to access it from outside.
as far as I know, you can get either the sum or average (or count, etc) inside the PT for a field: just right click on a field and select field options (I believe, I do not have excel with me now)
