Conditional Formatting to Highlight Entire Rows

I have a spreadsheet that keeps track of employee's log in times in "hrs, mins, secs". I need an entire row to highlight if an employee has been logged in for +8hrs. The hours/mins/secs are formatted as 3:17:26 or [h]:mm:ss.

    Much help would be appreciated.

Assuming you want to highlight columns A to Z in each row where the time value in column C is greater than 8 hours then select the whole range, e.g. A1:Z100 and use this formula

    =$C1>TIME(0,8,0)

Note you need to use the $, adjust the C1 based on the time column and the first row of your data

When I put in that formula into conditional formatting, it turns the whole selection the chosen color. Anything I may be doing wrong? I picked A:2:G:1172 and need it go =$G2>TIME(0,8,0)
