Insert row based on value of cell above

Hey All,

I'm looking to auto-insert a row based on a specific text value in the 1st cell in the row above.(The value cell will always be in column A). For instance; when I choose the word "Partial" from my validation list, I would like the following to happen.
-A new row to be inserted below the row where "Partial" was just selected.
-The new row should include the same formating, formulas and SOME of the contents of the row above.
This instance of selecting "Partial" may take place anywhere on the sheet (not just the last row for instance)

I don't know much about VBA and would prefer not to just cut and paste a responders code if possible.
I would prefer, for anyone willing, to spell out what needs to happen so I can use it as a learning experience.
