Conditional format a cell when the formula returns False

I have an if formula that require a user to choose a drop down in another cell. If they don't make a selection the formula doesn't calculate correctly and the formula in the cell returns False. Can I conditonally format the cell the turn red if they haven't chosen the required drop down?
    Thanks

Re: Conditional format a cell when the formula returns False

Select the cell and go to Home|Conditional Formatting and select New Rule

Select "format only cells that contain" from top, then select

Cell Value >> Equal To >> and enter: =FALSE

Click Format and choose from Fill tab.
Where there is a will there are many ways.
