"Excel has stopped working" message poping up

Hey Guys, I really need some help here. Every time I try to enter something into a field, Excel stops and gives me this message, then closes down. I've run updates and nothing. The rest of the office programs are running fine, it's just Excel that's doing this. I'm really screwed as I use this program for just about everything. PLEASE HELP!

Try clicking on the Office icon in the top left corner. Choose Excel Options | Resources and then run Microsoft Office Diagnostics ... it might help.

I cannot find the Office icon or Excel Options button. I found an options menu under the home tab, but I see no resources or diagnostics there either. Here is what I see:

I don't have 2010, but it comes as no surprise it's not in the same place as 2007.

Try looking under File | Options (near the bottom) | Options

Also, look at this link: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/he...001234076.aspx
