    countif statement

    Hi,

    I have the following columns:

    Empty Owned?
    No N
    Yes N
    No N
    No Y
    No N
    No Y
    No Y
    No N
    No Y
    No N
    No Y
    No N
    No N
    No N
    No N
    No N
    No Y
    No N
    No N
    No Y
    No N
    No Y
    No Y
    No Y
    No Y
    No N
    No N
    No Y
    No Y
    No Y
    No N
    No Y
    No Y
    No N
    No Y
    No Y
    No Y
    No N
    No N
    No N
    No N
    No Y
    No Y
    No N
    No Y
    No N
    No Y
    No Y
    No N
    No N
    No Y
    No N
    No N
    No Y
    No Y
    No N
    No Y
    No N
    Yes N
    No Y
    Yes N
    Yes N
    No Y
    Yes Y
    Yes N
    Yes N
    Yes Y
    Yes Y
    Yes Y
    Yes Y
    Yes Y
    Yes N
    Yes Y
    Yes N
    Yes N
    Yes Y
    Yes Y

What I am aiming to do is to count the instances where Not Empty = Owned and Not Empty = Not Owned

The actual numbers I'm looking for:

Not Empty = Owned is 29/38 (38 is total number of N's in Owned column)
Not Empty = Not Owned is 30/39 (39 is total number of Y's in Owned column)

What formula can I use to achieve this?

I hope I've explained this clearly

    Thanks

    Hi

    You mean something like this?

    =SUMPRODUCT((A1:A100="No")*(B1:B100="N"))
