A way to directly access favorite cells

I am working in a gigantic spreadsheet in which some cells I use very frequently. Usually I get to this filters through filtering. This is frustrating since I need to clear my current selection, apply two filters, find and update the cell and then restore my other filters. I am currently writing down what I need to update and then just do it all in one go, but its slightly more mistake-prone.

Is there a way to directly link to a favorite cell, for example by creating something of a live link in which I can update either side of the linked cells and the result will show in the other as well? Is there a way to jump to a pre-defined entry number?

    Help would be greatly appreciated.

Temper, temper my friend. We are all civilized people here. And I don't think using "u" instead of " you" is an error.

Thanks a bunch Russel, that really helps!

If there would be a way to also hotkey a preset filter I would be done with this. Is this possible in excel?

As far as the sample goes, its more or less sensitive data. If it would be required I could create a dummy version of course, but now that I have something of a link, I only need to be able to quickly get back to my original filter settings. Unless there is a way I can access the hyperlinked cell while keeping the filter (which excludes this cell)

You could create a macro via a button on the s/s but if you want it to run via a double click in a cell then I think you need VBA code to do this and it's out of my league I'm sad to say. I'm learning, but slowly.

If you want help re the button I can certainly help (see attachment as example) but if you prefer to go down the VBA route I'd suggest starting another thread entitled "VBA needed to run Macro by clicking cell". It's really a different question to the original. There is some stuff already out there so you may want to have a look first. It depends upon how comfortable you are.

    Cheers

    Russell
