Cannot copy or use the format painter in excel

Hi, I'm building a large spread sheet and for some reason my copy/painter have simply stopped working.
When I select a cell and choose copy, for example, it briefly flashes as if it is going to work but then does not work.
Does anyone know how to fix this, Thanks Mark

Check to see if you have the Skype Click to Call plugin installed in your browser. If so, disable / uninstall it. There is a fix for it available through Skype so if you want / use it you can reinstall the fixed version.

I have the same problem. I followed the isntructions, but the problem still remains.
I had switched on and off both Skype and Excel(2007).
Should I restart my computer, once other mention that the 'fix' solved their problems.

It really is a pain not being able to profit from the format painter icon.
