    "Anti-aggregate/frequency"-table

    Hey everyone,

    I have a problem with my data-file, since I received it with a frequency field. In order to work with the data I need to transfer it from this format:

    ID Freq
    A 2
    B 1
    C 3
    D 1

    into this:

    ID
    A
    A
    B
    C
    C
    C
    D

    I don't know what this process is called, so it's kind of hard to find information on it. If anyone could help it would be highly appreciated

    I have several columns so they would all need to "opened up".

    see if this helps...

    CSE, aka Array aka { }, formulae are confirmed with CONTROL+SHIFT+ENTER.
    Replace commas ( , ) with semicolons ( ; ) in formulae, if your locale setting demands.

    Re: "Anti-aggregate/frequency"-table

    Thanks but now it seems like a have problem with copying the formula from third row downwards.

    eg. In your example the formula in F2 is (sorry about the finnish commands):
    =JOSVIRHE(INDEKSI($A$2:$A$5;VASTINE(MIN(JOS(RIVIT($F$2:$F2)<=$C$2:$C$5;$C$2:$C$5));$C$2:$C$5;0));"")

    and in F3 it is:
    {=JOSVIRHE(INDEKSI($A$2:$A$5;VASTINE(MIN(JOS(RIVIT($F$2:$F3)<=$C$2:$C$5;$C$2:$C$5));$C$2:$C$5;0));"")}

    If I try to change the columns from which it looks up the values the brackets {} disappear and the function doesn't work anymore.

    What should I do with this?

    in the file that i have uploaded, the formula in F2 does have { }, so do subsequent highlighted fields in column F. the braces are what do the trick. see my signature on how to get the braces on.
