    Cut paste with respect to previous cell value

    Excel sheet containing column A & Column B values and it look like as below :

    Column A Column B
    1 aa
    1 bb
    1 cc
    1 dd
    1 ee
    2 ab
    2 ac
    2 ad
    3 aab
    3 aac
    3 aad
    3 aae
    3 aae


    We required the out put as mentioned in the attached file Column D on-wards

    @sarode_sumesh, you have three different threads about the same question. if you do not get a response within a day or two, you can always bump a thread by adding a post, instead of creating new threads.

    by the way, the file you have upload seems to be version 2003, whereas your profile mentions 2007.

    take a look at the attached file to see if the solutions work for you - choose the appropriate solution according to the version that you are using.

    Replace commas ( , ) with semicolons ( ; ) in formulae, if your locale setting demands.
