    Line Graph Help

    Hi,
I'm having a lot of difficult creating a line graph.
Essentially I have information about a child's grades: Starting level, Target level, and intermediate levels.
    The levels start at 2c, 2b, 2a, 3c, 3b, 3a, 4c ..... 8b, 8a

Here is the information I have:
    Spreadsheet.png

I want to plot, on the same graph:
    - a line showing the child's current grade to target grade
    - a line showing the child's actual grades

    Like so:
    Line Graph.png

Is this going to be a problem?
I want to eventually be able to select a child from a drop down box and display their graph.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

This data layout does not lend itself easily to charting. To achieve what you describe, you will need a much simpler, two-dimensional table, no empty rows, no empty columns, no merged cells. The way your data is laid out resembles a report. Put it into a simple 2d table instead, then you can create charts and pivot charts from it.

For any further suggestions, please upload a sample file.
