How was 'grouping' created in this excel pivot table?

Hello,
I was researching an issue i am having trying to round off a time data column, and came across an old post which I found helpful, but unfortunately cannot find again. Fortunately though, I had downloaded attached file that the forum moderator submitted, which I have reattached here.
How was he able to add the 'Sales' to both the values field AND the 'Row Labels' field?
Secondly, when you right click on the row labels column in the pivot table, and click on 'Group', how did he get this grouping feature that allows you to group by different intervals?

just drag the field to both areas. the intervals are not different (they are all 5) so I'm not sure what you mean?
