Question: I read somewhere that it was possible to create a brand new column/property in Excel, i.e. Vendor Name (in a workbook) and somehow populate it's contents when it is uploaded to a SharePoint site.

The only requirement is that the column names (properties) in the Excel worksheet have to match exactly.

Example: Worksheet 1 -- contains a column called New Vendor; you could them populate that property in the worksheet, for example with the text: Dell Computers

Result: When I uploaded the spreadsheet, the New Vendor column in SharePoint would be populated with the New vendor string, Dell Computers.

Is this possible?
