I have a spreadsheet with a list of task. In one of the columns I have either daily, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday or the 1st of the Month. This relates to when the task needs to be carried out. What I want is to be able to automatically display either on the same sheet or another sheet the tasks that are required on the day I open the spreadsheet. For example if I open it on Friday 1st June 2012, it would list all the daily tasks, the tasks for Friday's and the tasks for the 1st of the month. To make it a little harder if the 1st falls on a weekend then I need the tasks for the 1st of the month to display on the Monday after this.
Can anyone point me in the direction of where to start? I am guessing it is going to need to involve some level of programming rather than just formulas.
