    3D surface in excel

    Hi,

I have to create 3d surface chart using x,y,z (real) coordinates. There are part of coordinates:

    No X Y Z
    1 6610128.002 4887445.214 316.997
    2 6610113.643 4887461.461 317.305
    3 6610118.739 4887463.899 317.686
    4 6610119.664 4887464.693 317.485
    5 6610120.601 4887465.797 319.248
    6 6610105.591 4887478.833 318.679
    7 6610111.008 4887481.161 318.730
    8 6610111.547 4887481.446 318.563

    Re: 3D surface in excel

Excel does not currently have the ability to produce a 3D scatter plot. I would suggest you look for a different graphing program that can do 3D scatter plots. A good program should be able to use data from Excel (or other spreadsheet) in generating the plot. It is not something I have needed, so I cannot recommend a program (most of them that I can think of are not free, anyway). Even then, I expect it would be easier than trying to coax Excel into doing something it is not designed to do.

    @MrShorty

    Thanks for your answer!

But, I know what you try to say. Exactly I work in Autodesk AutoCAD Civil 3D 2012, and I can create everything what I need. My problem is created by my professor. I think it is possible, but, 100% exist a trick how to organize 3d data

    Example, look like this:

    yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
    xzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
    xzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
    xzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
    xzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
    xzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

    Hello Mirste,

Graphis, a 3D plotting program which my company develops, should easily produce a surface from your points. The points can be pasted from Excel directly into the program, and the order isn't important. A free 30-day trial can be downloaded from: http//www.kylebank.com.
