Use Excel to paint a picture of the Mona Lisa?

Is there a formula I can use to have excel read the pixels of an image and fill in every cell with a color as if it was a pixel?

I found this years ago off the internet. It works on smallish 24 bit photos... This is not my own work and credit should go to its author ????? said I found this years ago!

The file comes with a BMP of the monalisa

When you open the spreadsheet change the path to the sample.bmp (mona lisa) before running the macro

the macro reads each pixel and writes the values to a sheet cell
